The Fader Ep, 4: Kris Orlowski

kris orlowski

This week we talked with Seattle singer-songwriter Kris Orlowski. Kris has accomplished in the last couple of years what many performers dream of – a solid following in their hometown, a great team in place for management, booking, publishing and distribution and a killer live show that consistently sells reputable venues.

Also joining us in this interview is Drew Konzelman, who, in addition to being a singer-songwriter and outstanding musician, also happens to be one of the hosts here on CreativeLive.

We really wanted to know, what does it take to get your band from playing open mic nights or coffee shops to really making it like Kris is now? He’s quit his day job and is focusing on music and starting to cultivating a consistent national audience. Does it take more than talent and hard work? Is it hard to organize your time when all you do everyday is make music?

These are the hard questions and Kris could not be more qualified to talk about them and more honest and genuine in his responses.
