We worked with the Buttercream Queen, Lucinda Larson, to inspire you to get inventive with your holiday sweets.
Lucinda used a black and gold color palette and edible glitter to create sophisticated cupcakes that would fit right in at a cocktail party. The gum paste bow is a subtle nod to the holidays and the snowflakes add some serious seasonal sparkle.
The grey, black, and gold palette is a a very grown-up departure from the standard red and green commonly found this time of year. We encourage you to experiment with your Christmas color palette and add a new dimension to your seasonal fete!

2 c butter
2 c shortening
12-16 c powdered sugar
4 T evaporated milk or whipping cream
1/2 t popcorn salt
3-4 T meringue
2 t vanilla extract
