Gear Review: Fun Portraits with the Light-Blaster

It’s always fun playing with new gear. This time around, our good friends over at DIY Photography sent us one of most entertaining tools on the market – The Light-Blaster. The Blaster uses your existing SLR lens and hot shoe strobe to project images at just the right moment. The  flash of your strobe can transform your backdrop into textures, patterns, people, and landscapes. You can also use any of your old 35mm slides and pop them in there to make a unique background.

Once you figure this thing out, it’s just plain fun.  We fooled around with the LB in our San Francisco studios and took some not-so-corporate head-shots. Check out the video below:
