Ready to make some new traditions this Fourth of July? Some of our favorite summertime memories from childhood involved BBQ cookouts, fireworks and of course treats. This year we wanted to create a healthier DIY treat for the 4th that’s still festive and fun. This super easy 4th of July popsicle recipe is a healthy spin on everyone’s favorite tri-colored popsicle…the bomb pop. But instead of being loaded with sugar, these cool treats are filled with fresh fruit and yogurt, and we promise they’re just as good!

Start by chopping up your fruit into separate bowls, then mix yogurt into each bowl. We layered the strawberry mixture in our pop mold first. Place in the freezer for an hour or until set.

Use plain vanilla yogurt for the next layer. Place the molds back into the freezer to set the next layer.

Next, add the blueberry yogurt layer. We added a few drops of food coloring to enhance the blue, but this is optional. Place back into the freezer until the final layer sets (approx. 1 hour).

Now, it is time to add the sticks. Our mold set came with their own but we wanted to use wooden sticks. Once the popsicle sticks are added to the molds, place them back into the freezer for a couple more hours or even overnight.
