4 Reasons Why You Should Attend Adobe’s #CreativeJam in Seattle

Calling all UX designers in Seattle!

Embrace the UX design community at the next Adobe Creative Jam in Seattle on Thursday, July 20. This new, interactive event series is all about creative community, and Adobe is bringing the party to cities all over the country–and the world. Join this upcoming session and connect with local thought leaders, talk shop and just enjoy hanging out with the local creative community.

If you’re in town, here’s what you can look forward to at this unique creative event:

1.) Get a FREE portfolio review
Free professional advice? Yes, please! Sign up in advance to reserve your spot in the portfolio review session. You’ll get 15 minutes of one-on-one time with a locally established design professional who will offer you feedback on your work and answer your questions—so come prepared!

2.) Vote at a design skills showdown
Probably the most rambunctious part of the evening will be the highly anticipated Creative Jam Tournament, with a Grand Prize for the winning team and a People’s Choice award decided by you, the audience. Hand-picked designers from the community will be placed onto one of ten teams and given the competition theme just one hour before the jam session begins.

Using Adobe XD, each team will have until 9 p.m. to come up with a clever design solution, at which time the teams will share and discuss their solutions with the audience. Entries for the Grand Prize will be judged by a panel of 7 judges, including travel photographer and Lead Host at CreativeLive, Kenna Klosterman.

3.) Be inspired by your peers
Do you love finding out how other artists approach the creative process? During this event, you’ll get to hear presentations from a couple of local creative professionals on how they work their magic and what kinds of projects they’re currently tackling. Speakers include Janet Galore, Creative Director of the Exploration Team at Amazon’s Concept Lab and Natalie Lew, an interaction designer and Adobe Creative Resident.

4.) Connect with other designers
Whether you want to chat with potential business partners or just meet other cool, like-minded people in the design community, this event is the perfect place to get social. Enjoy the free food and drinks as you gab the night away. And don’t forget to bring your business cards!
